The Global Studies Department is dedicated to providing students with opportunities to assist them both during and after their college experience.

Monterey is alive with local events! Follow the Global Studies Facebook page and keep up to date with local and regional happenings that pertain to the Global Studies major. This is a great resource for finding things to do in Monterey as well as finding opportunities around the State.

The World Affairs Council of Monterey Bay (WACMB) is a non-partisan membership organization focused on the international aspects of a broad range of political, economic, military, and social issues. Their mission is to promote public education through the study and discussion of international issues by expert speakers of diverse opinions.

The United Nations was chartered to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights. It promotes equal rights for men and women and of Nations large and small. If you would like to get involved with Monterey’s local UN chapter, please visit the UN Association website!

The Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) is another wonderful resource for Global Studies majors found in Monterey. MIIS offers graduate programs for students interested in a range of international fields and often hosts well known speakers for relevant and stimulating talks.
