Bright Futures

CSUMB student reading to children at the Boys and Girls Club

Bright Futures is our county’s cradle-to-career initiative. We want to ensure that every child is prepared for school, succeeds in and outside of school, completes a post-high school credential and enters a promising career. For CSUMB, our involvement is a central part of our responsibility to help build a stronger community.

The goal of the Monterey Bay College Pathways Partnership (MBCPP) is to create a seamless pathway for students in the Monterey Bay region to complete an associate’s degree and bachelor’s degree in four years. We are working to create 2+2 degree pathways for all CSUMB major programs with their corresponding associate degree programs at different colleges.

CSUMB is proud to join more than 400 state colleges and universities in a new national initiative that highlights the unique role that state colleges and universities play in higher education. We stand with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities in offering a high-quality, accessible and affordable route to earning a four-year bachelor’s degree.
