NEWS - UPDATE - Drs. Bynoe and Colby to participate in the new GEAR UP Grants at CSUMB

The grants, which amount to $2.1 million per year for six years, with another $1.4 million in year seven, were awarded under the Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs – GEAR UP – administered by the U.S Department of Education.
GEAR UP aims to increase the proportion of students from low-income areas who are prepared for college. 3,620 students to be served in San Ardo, San Lucas, Greenfield, King City, Salinas and Seaside. The project will begin working with seventh- and eighth-grade classes this year and will provide services through their first year of college. PARTNERS will provide professional development for teachers in these schools focussed on meeting common core standards and developing a college going environment.

Our Teaching Resource Depot is now closed - thanks to the Orosco Group for supporting our year in Seaside. We will open again when we find a new space.
