ATTENTION INCOMING MATH MAJORS
Apply for the Bruce W. Woolpert Mathematics Award
Criteria for Scholarship:
The Bruce W. Woolpert Mathematics Award is directed to incoming first-time freshmen who are graduates of Pajaro High School, Watsonville High School, Anzar High School or San Benito High School pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics at CSUMB.Selection is based on academic merit, Priority selection will be given to graduates of Bruce W. Woolpert Algebra Academy but all math majors are encouraged to apply.
How to Apply:
Please complete the CSUMB General Scholarship Application located on the financial aid website.
ScholarshpTime Frame:
The CSUMB General Scholarship Application will be available on the financial aid homepage towards the end of the Fall semester (normally by December) and is normally due towards the beginning of the Spring semester (usually in February).

Mathematics & Science Teacher Initiative- MSTI
In California there is a high demand for qualified teachers in the fields of mathematics and science. In order to meet this demand, the Math and Science Teacher Initiative (MSTI) at CSU Monterey Bay offers up to $5,000 in stipends to undergraduate students working on their degree. MSTI also pay various costs incurred while obtaining clearance of the teaching credential.

After becoming a teacher, the state of California's APLE program offers up to $19,000
worth of forgivable loans.
