The California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act ("CANRA") (Penal Code ยงยง 11164-11174.3), is state legislation designed to protect children from abuse and neglect by establishing legal obligations for "mandated reporters" and procedures. The California State University Executive Order 1083 defines the provisions of this legislation and, for purposes of this policy, all CSU employees, including University Corporation employees, are designated as mandated reporters.
