Meet the staff- Fall 2018
Are you feeling like me and wondering where did the semester go? I begun my role as the Guardian Scholars Retention April 2018. It has been an honor and privilege serving as the Retention Advisor and getting to meet new and returning Scholars, and be a part of the growth of the program! This semester we had some exciting changes happen with the program. We welcomed our very first peer mentor intern Cali Trimble. We started our very first Laptop Loan Program and loaned out 7 brand new HP laptops to our Scholars. We collaborated with Hartnell College on two events this semester helping to establish communication and build a better pipeline for our transfer students. We had 3 faculty and staff mentor trainings, welcoming 8 new mentors to help support our Scholars! I am so excited to see what the future holds for each of our Scholars and I am grateful I get to be a part of your journey.
