California Preliminary Administrative Services Credential Program
Summer 2020 Start: CSUMB Administrative Services Credential Program has been approved as a Summer Start program. Application for Summer 2020 is now open in Cal State Apply.
The CSUMB Preliminary Administrative Services Credential Program prepares educational leaders with the skills, knowledge, and dispositions to efficiently and effectively lead educational organizations in today's complex and evolving social, political and economic environment. The Department of Education and Leadership offers two options leading to the California Preliminary Administrative Services Credential. Part time enrollment is optional with advisor consultation.
Masters in Education Administration Emphasis
The first option allows candidates to complete an MA degree with and emphasis in Educational Administration. Students who select this option complete coursework required for the Preliminary Administrative Services credential plus ten units related to research and two seminar courses that guides them through the completion of an action research project.
Preliminary Administration Services Credential Only
The second option allows candidates to complete the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential Only. This option is ideal for those who already hold a master's degree. Candidates enrolled in this option complete the 22 units that are required for the Preliminary Administrative Services.
