About Okayama University

Okayama Prefecture is located in the center of West Japan and is particularly blessed with fine weather compared to other parts of the country. As the climate is very mild, with low rainfall, this area has thriving agriculture, specializing in fruit products such as Muscat grapes and white peaches.

Okayama University offers a variety of student clubs and activities such as sport and art clubs, tea ceremony, Japanese traditional music, kendo, judo and bowling. Students stay at Kuwanoki Dormitory for International Students of Okayama University. The Dormitory is on campus and is a 10 minute walk to the Okayama International Center.
