I identify as a proud Queer Latina Feminista scholar and educator. I approach social justice through a lens of healing, decolonization, and art as liberation. As an undergraduate student, I was involved in student government, The Vagina Monologues, and various identity based first year programs. I graduated from Sonoma State with a Bachelor of Arts in Women's and Gender Studies Concentration: theatre and a minor in Queer Studies.
More recently, I received my Master of Science degree in Students Affairs in Higher Education Concentration: diversity and equity from Miami University in Ohio. I was raised in a community of farm workers in California and I am thrilled to be working with such a beautiful community that is bountiful in love, knowledge, and power!
My favorite quote is by feminista goddess Gloria Anzaldúa, " If we have been gagged and disempowered by theories, we can be loosened and empowered by theories".
