The Event: Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance
Since 1950, Pebble Beach has been host to what is quite simply the finest exhibition of show cars in the world. The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance - held each August on the 18th Fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links - is an annual gathering of rare and antique automobiles, international automotive luminaries, and motorcar enthusiasts from around the globe. It is an event of dazzling elegance, appropriately held at a resort famous for both beauty and refinement. Originally a small social event paired with a road race through the pine and cypress forests of Pebble Beach, this event has grown into the top-ranking collector car competition in the world. The Concours is not a contest of speed, but of elegance. Automobiles are judged for their historical accuracy, technical merit, and style.
It is truly exciting that California State University Monterey Bay has the opportunity to participate in this incredible event. We are looking for some of CSUMB’s most responsible, enthusiastic, and professional students to join the Special Event Management Team.
