What is the EAC?
The Environmental Affairs Committee (EAC) is a committee under CSUMB Associated Students (AS) that promotes sustainability both on and off campus. The purpose of the EAC is to advocate for the wellbeing of the environment and its inhabitants.
The EAC is open to all years and all majors.
Organization of the EAC
The EAC is divided into four Working Groups, each with their own specific purpose.
Diet & Waste
The purpose of the Diet & Waste Working Group is to help regulate output of waste and promote sustainable dietary practices.
The purpose of the Environmental Justice Working Group is to advocate for equity in all aspects of sustainability and environmentalism.
Energy & Transportation
The purpose of the Energy & Transportation Working Group is to advocate for sustainable transportation methods and energy usage.
Newsletter & Public Relations
The purpose of the Newsletter & Public Relations Working Group is to get others involved and interested in environmental advocacy and sustainable practices.
