Link Request
Current Highlights Definition/Requirements
Current Highlights links draw attention to events and important dates,
student and employee achievements, news, organizational changes, new webpages,
and anything else about CSUMB worthy of the attention of CSUMB.EDU users.
All approved Current Highlight links appear on the CSUMB.EDU/highlights
page. Also, the publishers of pages that feature Current Highlights regularly
monitor CSUMB.EDU/highlights to select Current Highlights for their pages
as they see appropriate.
Anyone can submit a Current Highlights link request. To be included on
the CSUMB.EDU/highlights page, the request must:
- If an event or date, match an approved entry in Resource 25, CSUMB's
all-inclusive calendar. (In other words, you should submit and process
a Resource
25 request before submitting your Current Highlight request.)
- Include well-written wording for the link, free from spelling and
grammatical errors. (Note: the submission form limits total characters
including spaces to 200.)
- Indicate a page to link to that: (a) includes detailed information;
(b) meets minimum standards for
CSUMB.EDU pages regarding logo, editorial quality, and contact information.
(Note: If you have something to highlight but have no webpage to link
to where detailed information appears, then you can submit a detail
paragraph for us to post using our standard CSUMB.EDU design template.
If your request does not meet these standards, M&P
will notify you as to why. If approved, we post your Current Highlight
to CSUMB.EDU/highlights immediately or on the date that you indicate.
Each highlight remains on the page for 30 days or until the date that
you indicate for removal, whichever comes first.
