California State University Monterey Bay invites applications for the M.A. in Education. Applications for Fall semester are due April 1st, applications for Spring semester are due November 1. Admission into the program is competitive. The admission criteria include the following: 1. Completion of a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited university. Admission and Records will verify your prior degree and your GPA.What about transfer credits? Students may transfer in up to two graduate courses that are no more than 7 years old at the time of the student's proposed graduation, and that fit the general focus of the program. Students with courses that are older than 7 years may be able to do some additional work to demonstrate that they have kept current in the field that the credits represent. Students will need to submit a syllabus or course description of any requested transfer credits.Who can I call for more information? University Application Process 1. Apply to CSU Monterey Bay. This
requires that a Graduate application be filed with Admissions
and Records. Contact Admissions and Records to obtain an application,
at (831) 582-3518, 100 Campus Center, Seaside, CA 93955.
2. Pay $55.00 application fee. 3. Have official transcripts mailed directly to the Office of Admissions and Records, from each college and university attended. Have your transcripts sent immediately; this is often a slow process. M.A. in Education Application Process 1. Complete the application form on the next page. 2. Write a two-three page typed essay that addresses how your goals match the focus of this program. In other words, why are you interested in pursuing a Master of Arts in Education degree, why are you selecting this program, and how would this degree contribute to your own professional goals? 3. Send two letters of recommendation
from individuals familiar with your academic work and/or professional work.
The letters should address why you should be admitted into this graduate
program.
